Professional Liability insurance — also known as errors and omissions (E&O insurance) — is critical for professionals who provide a service to their clients and work directly with their customers. Professional liability coverage can provide protection for claims made by a client if they suffered a financial loss due to a service provided. These claims could be due to a mistake you made, or simply by failing to perform certain services altogether

General liability insurance, also known as commercial general liability insurance, protects against claims and lawsuits resulting from bodily injury to third-parties and damage to others’ property. It is standard practice for professionals to have general liability insurance to protect against legal actions that may arise.

Equipment coverage can protect YOUR personal equipment. A lot of professionals think that general liability insurance will cover their equipment, but they don’t realize that it only covers others’ equipment. Also, homeowners and renters insurance would only cover your equipment at your residence. You need to get equipment coverage to protect your own valuable equipment, especially if you move it from location to location.

Your policy will automatically renew at the end of its term with the same coverages, terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions for another term. You will be reminded when your policy is about to renew.

Account & Documents

As soon as you purchase your policy, a certificate of insurance will be available when you sign in. You will have access to this 24/7.

ProSight Direct gives you 24/7 access to all your policy documents. Simply, sign in to your account to view your policy, get your certificate of insurance and more.

All of your policy documents are available to you when you sign in to your account. If you need physical copies of anything, you can download and conveniently print them out or contact us for a physical copy.

ProSight Direct does not store any of your payment information. We process a one-time payment at the time of purchase.

Policy

We hate to see you go, but if you need to cancel your policy, simply sign in to your account, select My Account, then "Cancel Policy" in Policy Settings. Please note, a minimum premium charge may apply.

Claims

If you need to report a claim, just sign in to your account and select "Submit a Claim".

Here is some helpful advice to make the property damage claim process quick and easy:

1. Tell us what happened:

Provide a brief description as to what happened.

Include the location of where the loss occurred.

If your property was damaged, take photos and send them in to claims@prosightspecialty.com. If someone was responsible for your damaged property, take down their contact information.

2. What to expect:

We will do everything possible to handle the claim covered under your policy in a timely fashion. Having receipts and warranty information readily available will make for an easy claims experience.

3. Be responsive:

Our Claims Team is dedicated to the expedient resolution of your claim, but we need your help—be available to discuss your claim with your dedicated Claims Professional. The quicker we reach you, the quicker your claim will be assessed!

Below are some helpful tips to make the general liability claim process quick and easy:

1. Tell us what happened:

Provide a brief description as to what happened.

Were there any witnesses? If so, take down their contact information.

Is there any video footage or photos of the incident? If so, request a copy and/or take down the contact information of the representative that has access to it and send it to claims@prosightspecialty.com.

    2. Have you received any legal communication regarding this incident?

    Send it in to us at claims@prosightspecialty.com.

    You are not obligated to speak with anyone about the claim filed against you—refer any interested party to ProSight, and your dedicated Claims Professional will address the matter with the interested party directly.

      3. Be responsive:

      We have your back! We’ll give you a call as soon as the claim is reported to figure out what happened so we can defend you.

        Below are some helpful tips to make the general liability claim process quick and easy:

        1. Tell us what happened:

        Provide any communications and/or documents relating to the alleged incident and send it to claims@prosightspecialty.com.

        2. Have you received any legal communication regarding this incident?

        Send it in to us at claims@prosightspecialty.com.

        You are not obligated to speak with anyone about the claim filed against you—refer any interested party to ProSight, and your dedicated Claims Professional will address the matter with the interested party directly.

        3. Be responsive:

        We have your back! We’ll give you a call as soon as the claim is reported to figure out what happened so we can defend you.

        Once you submit a claim, someone from our team will contact you within 48 business hours to collect any additional information that might be needed to start processing. You’ll be assigned a Claim Number when we contact you.

        After your claim has been processed, your adjuster will reach out within 48 business hours.
