    Purpose. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to describe how ProSight Global, Inc. (“Company”) for and on behalf of its subsidiaries and affiliates collects, uses, and shares information about you through (i) online interfaces (e.g., websites) owned and controlled by Company, including (collectively referred to herein as the “Site”); and (ii) Company’s web-based application, (the “App,” and together with the Site, collectively, the “Service”).     Scope; Third Party Sites. This Privacy Policy applies only to information we collect at and through the Service. The Service may also contain links to third party sites that are not owned or controlled by Company. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage you to be aware when you leave the Site or App and to read the privacy statements of each and every website or application that collects personal information.

  2. Information That We Collect

    Information You Provide to Us
    We collect information you provide to us, for example when you purchase a policy, create or modify your account, register to use the Site, request information from us, submit information to us in connection with an insurance claim, contact customer support, or otherwise communicate with us.

    When registering to use the Site, using the Site, or submitting information to us in connection with an insurance claim, this information may include, but is not limited to:

    • Name
    • Work address
    • Billing address
    • Email address
    • Telephone number
    • Credit/debit card number (collected by our third party payment processor through the Site solely for payment purposes)
    • User generated content (i.e. posts, comments, photos, messages, feedback, etc.)

    When purchasing a policy through the App or otherwise using the App, this information may include, but is not limited to:

    • Name
    • Telephone number
    • Email address
    • Work address
    • Home address
    • Date of birth
    • Credit/debit card number (collected by our third party payment processor through the App solely for payment purposes)
    • User generated content (i.e. posts, comments, accident descriptions, photos, messages, feedback, etc.)

    Information We Collect Automatically Through Your Use of our Service
    When you use the Service, we may collect some information automatically, such as your geolocation, IP address, the identity of your Internet Service Provider, browser type, computer or device type, your unique device identifier/number, operating system, the site from which you linked (if any), the pages of the Service that you viewed, persistent cookies, session cookies, and the time and date of your visit. With the exception of your geolocation information collected in connection with an insurance claim made via the Site, this information is not linked to personally identifiable information and is used to compile aggregate statistics about the total number of daily visitors to our Site and App, the pages most frequently visited, and how long you stay at each page. By collecting this information, we get a better understanding of your needs and what products and services we can develop to meet those needs. All the information we gather helps us understand your preferences, so we can continually improve our services to you and other customers.

    We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”) to collect certain information relating to your use of the Site or App. Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the Site analyze how users use the Site.     Information Collected Through Cookies and Similar Technologies
    We and our service providers use cookies and other technologies to receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with the Service through your computer or mobile device.     No Information from Anyone Under Age 18

  3. How We Use and Share Your Information

    To Provide Products, Services and Information. We collect information from you in order to provide products and services that you purchase from Company; register and service your user account; provide information that you request from us; and send you promotional materials or advertisements about our products and services, as well as new features and offerings; administer surveys, sweepstakes, promotions, and contests; and improve customer service and product offerings.

    Adjusting Claims, Loss Control and Underwriting. Information collected from you regarding accidents or claim incidents may be used (i) to adjust claims, including, without limitation, investigating incidents, determining whether insurance coverage exists, determining amounts of losses, and making payments on losses; (ii) for purposes of underwriting insurance policies, including, without limitation, as assessing the risk profile and loss history of accounts for underwriting future insurance policy years; and (iii) for loss control purposes.

    Sharing with Affiliates and Third Parties. We may provide information to affiliates of the Company and third party service providers that help us operate and manage the Service, process, fulfill and deliver products and services that you purchase from us. These service providers will have access to your personal information in order to provide these services, but when this occurs we implement reasonable contractual and technical protections to limit their use of that information to helping us provide the service. We may provide information to third parties to advertise, market, or promote our products and services, and for claims adjustment, loss control, and underwriting purposes. We may provide information to affiliates to advertise, market, or promote our and their own products and services. If you are an employee user of the Service, we may also share information with your employer so that your employer may manage its insurance claims and coverage provided by Company.

    Aggregated and Anonymized Data. We may use aggregated and anonymized data for marketing purposes and for actuarial purposes, including, without limitation, studying loss trends, histories, etc.

    Your Consent. In addition to the sharing described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy, we will share personal information with companies, organizations, or individuals outside of Company when we have your consent to do so.

    Legal Proceedings. We will share personal information with third party companies, organizations, or individuals outside of Company if we have a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation, or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to:

    • Meet any applicable law, regulation, subpoena, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.

    • Enforce applicable Terms of Use, including investigation of potential violations.

    • Detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues.

    • Protect against harm to the rights, property, or safety of Company, our users, customers, or the public as required or permitted by law.

    Transfer in the Event of Sale or Change of Control. If the ownership of all or substantially all of our business changes or we otherwise transfer assets relating to our business or the Service (including the Site, the App or both) to a third party, such as by merger, acquisition, bankruptcy proceeding or otherwise, we may transfer or sell your personal information to the new owner. In such a case, unless permitted otherwise by applicable law, your information would remain subject to the promises made in the applicable privacy policy unless you agree differently.

    We use industry standard physical, technical, and administrative security measures and safeguards to protect the confidentiality and security of your personal information. However, since the Internet is not a 100% secure environment, we cannot guarantee, ensure, or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us. There is no guarantee that information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards. It is your responsibility to protect the security of your login information.
